About Us

Founded in 1984, Mid-America Gastro-Intestinal Consultants (MAGIC) is a team of four physicians and two nurse practitioners. Each of us are committed to providing the highest quality care for the Kansas City community, and we offer comprehensive healthcare for all G.I. tract-related diseases. Our providers are board-certified in gastroenterology and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum.

We have three office locations: one on the Plaza, one in the Northland, and one in Overland Park. Our physicians have staff privileges at Saint Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza and Menorah Medical Center, and we accept most major insurance companies. We are happy to help you with any questions, anytime.

Our endoscopy center is conveniently located at Saint Luke’s G. I. Diagnostics LLC (G.I.D.), adjacent to our Plaza office, to accommodate most endoscopic procedures that our patients need. G.I.D. was established in 1991 and is a state-licensed, Medicare-certified facility and certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). We also perform endoscopic procedures at Menorah Medical Center, Mid-America Surgery Institute, Briarcliff Surgery Center and the PEET Center at St. Luke’s.

All anesthesia services performed at MAGIC are provided by Plaza Anesthesia, P.C., which has provided excellent patient care for over 10 years.
