State-of-the-Art Endoscopy Suites
Saint Luke’s G. I. Diagnostics LLC is a state-licensed, Medicare-certified facility, accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The endoscopy center opened in 1991 to provide patients with a safe, convenient, cost-effective and compassionate atmosphere that focuses on individual needs for their gastrointestinal procedures. Our facility has three state-of-the-art endoscopy suites, all equipped with the latest technology in endoscopic and patient monitoring equipment.
Monitored Anesthesia Care
We use a form of anesthesia called Monitored Anesthesia Care, which keeps patients comfortable throughout their procedures and has a relatively brief recovery time. All anesthesia services are provided by Plaza Anesthesia, P.C., which has provided excellent patient care for over 10 years.
Recovery & Follow-Up Care
After a procedure, patients are monitored for approximately 30 minutes in our recovery area. We require a family member or friend to accompany our patients to drive them home. When discharged, patients receive written instructions for any follow-up care from our physicians.
We always call our patients later in the day post-procedure to check in on how they’re doing. Our staff asks about the experience at our endoscopy center and if there are any concerns or questions that patients would like to discuss.
Highly Qualified Clinical Staff
Our clinical staff has been extensively trained to assist with procedures, and are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Our nursing staff continues their professional growth and education as members of the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) organization.
